# Monument Levels Requirement Image
Bricks Hats Gems Green Gems
1 Grand Palace 1-10 1,150,000 1,000,000 1,000,000 35
Bangkok Stamp01
Thai palace guards have worn 19th century Russian uniforms since 1897. Legend has it that was when the Russian tsar promised his friend, the King of Siam, that Russia would always guard him.
2 Golden Buddha Temple 11-20 1,640,000 2,500,000 2,000,000 35
Bangkok Stamp02
The Golden Buddha statue was rumored to have been saved from foreign invaders by covering it with plaster. The golden secret was revealed in 1957 when the statue was dropped during a move.
3 Samuthprakarn Crocodile Farm 21-30 2,160,000 1,850,000 2,000,000 25
Bangkok Stamp03
The world's biggest crocodile farm hosts a popular (and blood-curdling) show for tourists. The tamers are fearless, however - and the crocs are always well-fed first.
4 Mueang Boran 31-40 1,360,000 1,500,000 1,800,000 30
Bangkok Stamp04
The park features remarkably accurate copies of Thailand's famous buildings - the vision of a luxury car dealer who loved the country's rich history.
5 Little India 41-50 2,140,000 2,000,000 2,350,000 35
Bangkok Stamp05
The area is prime location for Indian herbs and spies. It's also the spot to watch your favorite cricket match. Even the smallest restaurants are equipped with satellite TV from India.
6 Khao San Road 51-60 2,450,000 1,760,000 1,800,000 30
Bangkok Stamp06
Backpackers from all over the world find their way to this infamous and rollicking avenue. It's so iconic that Leonardo DiCaprio's "The Beach" was actually filmed on location there.
7 Lumphini Park 61-70 1,800,000 1,670,000 2,500,000 30
Bangkok Stamp07
The park's 142 acres are regularly patrolled by Komodo dragon lizards, reputed to be entirely harmless. Actress Sharon Stone's ex-husband, Phil Bronstein, might disagree. He was famously bitten in the foot by a dragon at the Los Angeles zoo.
8 Baiyoke Sky Tower 71-80 2,470,000 1,960,000 1,800,000 35
Bangkok Stamp08
Bangkok's highest building stands 1000 feet in the air - or high enough that an estimated 182 men would have to stand on each other's shoulders for the last one to reach the top. No word on whether 182 men have ever volunteered to prove out the theory.
9 Bangkok National Museum 81-90 2,620,000 2,650,000 2,400,000 25
Bangkok Stamp09
The museum allows visitors an impressive look at the city's past - including a display of weapons used by soldiers seated on elephants.
10 Chatuchak Market 91-100 2,670,000 2,640,000 2,550,000 30
Bangkok Stamp10
Bangkok's busy weekend market certainly does bang-up business. Nearly 200,000 people spend an average of $750,000 in two days.
11 Temple of Dawn 101-110 2,600,000 1,970,000 2,120,000 45
Bangkok Stamp11
The higher you climb the stairs to this tower, the steeper the climb. It is said to represent the ancient principle of knowledge. It might also represent the ancient principle of tired legs.
12 Bangkok Canals 111-120 1,980,000 2,160,000 2,650,000 45
Bangkok Stamp12
Once a city of canals and buildings on stilts, Bangkok is still known as "Venice of the East." Visitors can taxi down the remaining canals while pondering why Venice isn't known as Bangkok of the West - since Bangkok's canals actually predate Venice by hundreds of years.
