# Monument Levels Requirement Image
Bricks Hats Gems Green Gems
1 Eiffel Tower 1-10 95,000 - - -
Paris Stamp01
The infamous con man Victor Lustig managed to sell the Eiffel Tower for scrap metal — twice. Oddly enough, he never attempted to sell a bridge.
2 Luxembourg Gardens 11-20 220,000 - - -
Paris Stamp02
A statue immortalizes the commissioner of the gardens, Marie de Médici. She might have wanted to trade places with it when her son, Louis XIII, permanently banished her from France in the late 1600s.
3 Pantheon 21-30 280,000 - - 2
Paris Stamp03
Mortally ill King Louis XV vowed he would build a new cathedral to St. Geneviève if he recovered. Why a monument to a saint was modeled after a pagan Roman temple is a less clear.
4 Ile de la Cite 31-40 330,000 - - 2
Paris Stamp04
Pont Neuf, connecting the Ile de la Cite to Paris, is the oldest bridge in the city. Ironically, the name translates to "New Bridge" — which it was, back in 1578.
5 Notre Dame 41-50 350,000 280,000 - 2
Paris Stamp05
The largest bell in the cathedral tower is known as Emmanuel. No word on whether locals have ever moaned, "Enough with the ringing, Emmanuel! I have a headache."
6 Opera Bastille 51-60 370,000 320,000 - 2
Paris Stamp06
The grandest opera house in Paris is so immense, two operas might be offered in the same week — as entire productions can be stored intact.
7 Pere-Lachaise Cemetery 61-70 390,000 350,000 - 2
Paris Stamp07
The famous cemetery is the resting place of musical master, Chopin. You could say that his heart wasn't in it, however — that organ was removed and buried in his native country, Poland.
8 Sacre-Coeur 71-80 400,000 370,000 - 2
Paris Stamp08
The great cathedral was strategically built to hover over Paris' red light district in the hopes that the holiness would rub off. Unfortunately, it didn't work - not a single business closed.
9 Place de la Concorde 81-90 410,000 400,000 310,000 2
Paris Stamp09
In 1833, Egypt gifted the King with the famous obelisk in the square. Parisians immediately insisted that the stone monkeys on it be removed. It is still unclear what anyone had against monkeys.
10 Petit Palais 91-100 420,000 450,000 350,000 2
Paris Stamp10
The "little palace" was never used as one. It was created as a temporary structure for an exhibition in 1900, and saved when Parisians protested — giving new meaning to the term "tear-down."
11 Champs-Elysees 101-110 460,000 470,000 400,000 2
Paris Stamp11
The famous boulevard once banned chain stores, but then fell to commerce. Now you can find nearly every major American chain there — and you can munch fast food fries while shopping.
12 Arc de Triomphe 111-120 510,000 490,000 450,000 2
Paris Stamp12
Napoleon promised this monument would be built in time to marry his young bride, Marie-Louise, but they were forced to have the ceremony under a wooden replica instead. It didn't bode well for the marriage.
