Also known as the "Hindu Temple," the Shri Sanatan Dharma Mandal temple is a replica of the famous Somnath temple in Gujarat, India, and was constructed in the late 1950s without using any iron or steel!

Completed in 1979, this high-rise was once owned by the Uganda Commercial Bank, and later by Stanbic Bank Uganda. In 2014, Stanbic Bank moved its headquarters and after over 30 years in banking, the building was renovated and reopened as a shopping mall.

Already well-known for its prominent water tower and striking white façade, the Ugandan Parliament's most notable feature is the "Independence Arch" over the main entrance. The arch was built when Uganda gained independence from Britain in 1962.
