Levels
This city contains 200 levels, consists of 120 normal levels, 60 side-levels, and 20 Helping Hand levels.
# | Monument | Levels | Requirement | Image | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Bricks | Hats | Gems | Green Gems | ||||
1 | Monument to the Discoveries | 1-10 | |||||
The monument was created to celebrate the achievements of the intrepid Portuguese explorers of the 15th and 16th centuries. The giant marble map of the world in front of the monument - Mappa Mundi - is equally enjoyable for visitors to navigate. | |||||||
2 | Cristo Rei Statue | 11-20 | |||||
Built homage to the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil, the monument affords breathtaking views across Lisbon. The ferry ride over might evoke another ferry ride - to New York's Statute of Liberty. | |||||||
3 | Eiffel Elevator | 21-30 | |||||
The Eiffel Elevator was designed by an apprentice of Gustave Eiffel to transport weary pedestrians from one of Lisbon's highest points to its lowest. It is beloved as both time-saver and shoe-saver. | |||||||
4 | Triumphal Arch | 31-40 | |||||
A triumph of height is both a triumph of height and architecture. The highest point of the Triumphal Arch is over 100 feet tall, with the statue of Glory a mere 23 feet tall. | |||||||
5 | Se Cathedral | 41-50 | |||||
St. Anthony was reportedly baptized at the cathedral's baptismal font. He later became the patron saint of weddings, and bridal couples often celebrate at the nearby chapel dedicated to him. | |||||||
6 | St. George Castle | 51-60 | |||||
The castle is as old as Roman rule. Excavations have revealed human habitation existed on the site as far back as 48 B.C.E. | |||||||
7 | Vasco da Gama Bridge | 61-70 | |||||
Vasco de Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in Europe, also holds the world record for the largest dining table - nearly 15,000 people lunched there as part of the bridge's inauguration ceremonies. No word on how long it took to pass the salt. | |||||||
8 | Lisbon Oceanarium | 71-80 | |||||
The Lisbon Oceanarium sits on an artificial lagoon, and is the largest aquarium in Europe. Swimming is sadly forbidden unless, of course, you're a fish. | |||||||
9 | Águas Livres Aqueduct | 81-90 | |||||
King John V commissioned the aqueduct to bring fresh water to the city. It takes a steely resolve coupled with no fear of heights to enjoy the local practice of walking the walls. | |||||||
10 | Planetario Calouste Gulbenkian | 91-100 | |||||
The namesake for Planetario Calouste Gulbenkian developed oil fields in the early 20th century. His 5% share in many oil companies led to the nickname: "Mr. Five Percent." | |||||||
11 | Belem Tower | 101-110 | |||||
The tower bears the first known image of a rhinoceros in Western art. It's based on a rhinoceros sent to Pope Leo X in 1515, a gift from King Manuel I. The gift never arrived, however. The poor rhino died in a shipwreck off the coast of Italy. | |||||||
12 | Quelez National Palace | 111-120 | |||||
Many compare Queluz National Palace to Versailles in France. Though much smaller, the "Pink Palace" contains many original furnishings and extensive gilt finishes set amongst exquisite gardens. |
