1 | Louis II Stadium | 1-10 | |||||
The stately stadium was created from 9000 tons of iron and 2000 tons of metal. It holds 18,523 fans - or roughly half the population of Monaco.
2 | The Monaco Top Cars Museum | 11-20
The museum houses the impressive collection of Prince Renier III, a car enthusiast who garnered nearly 100 rare pieces before his death in 2005 at the age of 82. No word on how often he put off cleaning out the garage.

The flourishing gardens feature plants from all over the world, including Mexico, Peru, South Africa, Central America, and the United States. It's open year round, but due to the delicate plants, dogs are never welcome. Luckily, the gardens offer a free kennel for visiting furry friends.
4 | Prince's Palace of Monaco | 31-40 | 250,000 | 5
In 1297, disgraced military leader Francesco Grimaldi dressed as a monk to sneakily infiltrate and take over the fortress. The ruse paid off. The Grimaldi have ruled Monaco ever since - they are, in fact, the oldest reigning dynasty in Europe.
5 | Palace of Justice | 41-50 | 270,000 | 310,000 | 4
You could say that this 1924 Palace lieterally rose fro the sea. It's built of sea tuff, a porous stone containing small pebbles and mollusk shells.
6 | Oceanographic Museum | 51-60 | 350,000 | 280,000 | 5
This sea-centric museum was helmed for 30 years by underwater champion and world-famous explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, a man who single-handedly introduced a generation to the ocean's mysteries.
7 | Saint Nicholas Cathedral | 61-70 | 370,000 | 270,000 | 6
Tiny Monaco may have fewer cathedrals than other European cities, but how many have named their bells? Devote, Nicole and Pure Virgin Maria were "born" in 1960, while Benedict appeared in 1997 to honor the 700th anniversary of the Grimaldi dynasty.
8 | Marche de la Condamine | 71-80 | 360,000 | 300,000 | 5
The self-described oldest market in Europe has been filling baskets with everything rom fresh fruit to truffles since 1880.
9 | Railway Station | 81-90 | 440,000 | 360,000 | 450,000 | 6
This state of the art railway station was carved in rock. Despite the earthy origins, the fabulous stopping point features posh marble rooms and shining gold lamps.
10 | Monte Carlo Opera | 91-100 | 520,000 | 450,000 | 370,000 | 27
The majestic building, home of dozens of opera premieres, was built in only six months. No word on if the construction crew rested on the seventh.
11 | Larvotto Beach | 101-110 | 530,000 | 420,000 | 530,000 | 5
Monaco's only public beach was actually man-made. It doesn't seem to bother the array of sun worshippers, who are famously dripping in Jewels.
12 | Fort Antoine | 111-120 | 650,000 | 550,000 | 580,000 | 6
In 1944, the 18th century fort was destroyed by WWII bombs. Happily, it was fully restored in 1953, and is now an open air theater. |
